Implant dentistry

The Dental Room is committed to offering its North Balwyn and Doncaster clients dental implants using state-of-the-art technology so patients can get world-class care right in Melbourne’s east.

Implant procedures are routinely done start to finish in our clinic, from 3D scanning radiology  to implant surgery to crown placement. Being vertically integrated provides convenience to our clients.

The Dental Room also uses a state-of-the-art computer-guided tooth implant system that allows accurate placement of tooth implants through keyhole surgery in many cases.

Computer Assisted Keyhole surgery

The future is here.

Utilising digital planning technology, your X-rays are transformed into a 3D printed surgical guide or stent. The stent is then locked into place in the mouth during surgery and implants are placed through this guide in the precise pre-planned positions.

The major advantage of the guided surgical technique is the minimal amount of manipulation of the soft tissue due to keyhole surgery. This often reduces the healing time and discomfort that may be associated with traditional dental implant surgical techniques.

We use this technology with single and multiple implant cases as well as with Fixed on Four or full arch solutions.

Denture stabilisation

Dentures often make chewing difficult or they often move around when you eat or smile. Using a small number of implants (usually 2-4), the denture is anchored to the implants, making it firm and comfortable in use.

Fixed on Four or More Systems

The Fixed on 4 or More System provides you with between 4 and 8 implants that are inserted into the jaw bone. A full arch of replacement teeth (bridge) is then attached to the implants.

Advances in technology and implant technique allow us in most cases to fix this bridge at the time of implant placement. You can now have immediate aesthetic and functional improvements without the need for an interim denture or a long healing phase.

We offer this treatment option with a minimally invasive protocol using keyhole surgery, utilising a surgical guide/stent.

At The Dental Room, we have the radiology and laboratory facilities to provide this service from start to finish entirely within the practice.
